The
Building Trades Department has five vocational programs available for
those interested in pursuing a one-year certificate or a two-year
certificate. We offer the following programs: Carpentry Technology,
Electrical Technology, Heating, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration,

for Fall 2007 -- Plumbing Technology and Welding. CARPENTRY TECHNOLOGY (CRPT, CNBT, DFTG) The Carpentry Technology program offers a one-year Basic Journeyman Carpenter Assistant Certificate. The curriculum is designed to prepare the student for entry level employment with competencies in Forms and Foundations, Interior and Exterior Framing, Roofing, Blueprint Reading and Construction Management. Building Codes and Inspection as well as Construction Estimating will also be covered. This curriculum also exposes the student to Computer-Aided Construction Scheduling.
