Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

The Building Trades Department has five vocational programs available for those interested in pursuing a one-year certificate or a two-year certificate. We offer the following programs: Carpentry Technology, Electrical Technology, Heating, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration, *New for Fall 2007 -- Plumbing Technology and Welding. Below is one of the five programs we have to offer, the number of classes required to complete the one-year certificate and information on the upcoming Fall 2007 schedule.

HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION (HART) (MAIR)

The two-year Commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program provides entry level competencies in the service and repair of commercial units. Domestic and residential air-conditioning and refrigeration competencies are incorporated during the first year of training. The student has the option of exiting after one year of training or following a sequence of courses which will provide competencies in both fields.
