LCC Nursing Program applications due Friday

The Laredo Community College Associate Degree Nursing program is currently recruiting new students who seek careers in the healthcare industry.  Applications for admission into the new class next semester are due by Friday, October 24.

"Laredo Community College offers valuable opportunities to complete a career in the nursing industry, where jobs are plenty and rewarding," said Dianna Miller, new Dean of Health Sciences at LCC.

New students are currently sought for Spring 2004 admission to the ADN program, which is a two-year course of study leading toward an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing.

An application for the ADN program must be completed and submitted to the ADN Office by October 24 before 12 noon.  The nursing office is located in Lopez Nursing Building, room 126.

The ADN program at LCC prepares graduates for licensure as a Registered Nurse. Students implement the nursing process with client care in a structured health care setting. The students participate in hands-on clinical experience at the two local hospitals and at other sites throughout the community.

The Associate Degree Nursing Program at LCC is fully accredited by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.

For more information, contact ADN Program Coordinator Carolyn Otero by calling 721-5252.
