to present hypnotist Rich Ames Sept. 9
Hypnotist Rich Ames, a popular national campus entertainer, is returning to Laredo Community College on Tuesday, September 9, at 1 p.m. in the Kazen College Center. His performance is sponsored by the LCC Student Activities Office.
“Rich Ames' comedy hypnosis show is always a huge attraction with LCC students,” said Student Activities Director Margie Moncibais-Sanchez. “We expect that our students will once again enjoy the zany antics that this creative storyteller and master of fun creates through the power of hypnosis.”
Ames learned hypnosis in Los Angeles studying with Gil Boyne, one of the top stage hypnotists in the country. He has also studied with other top hypnotists in Florida.
Ames is a board certified hypnotist with the National Board of Hypnosis Education and Certification and studied psychology as an undergraduate.
Ames is also a trained stage and commercial actor with credits including NHK Japanese Television, NBC, CBS, a national TV commercial for Arsenio Hall, and numerous performances at nightclubs and evening spots such as the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California.
He has performed at more than 1,000 colleges and universities in the United States since 1991, including Penn State University, University of Texas at Austin, UT-San Antonio, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M University at College Station and Illinois State University. Ames performs and travels with his wife, Marielle, who is also a board certified hypnotist with NBHEC.
