fashion show at LCC on Oct. 27
Laredo Community College students will learn the basics and the trends of fashion attire for the contemporary business professional during the Dress for Success Fall Fashion Show on Monday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. in the Kazen College Center.
Sponsored by the LCC Employment Assistance Center, the annual business fashion show will feature 15 college students wearing an array of formal and casual business attire courtesy of Foley’s. Admission to the fashion show is free and open to LCC students and the community.
“The Dress for Success fashion show will highlight men’s and women’s attire for a professional office setting,” said EAC Director Felix Gamez. “Laredo Community College is pleased to host this event each semester to show students the proper attire to wear for job/scholarship/internship interviews, business luncheons or the workplace.”
Gamez offered a preview of some of the fashion attire to be showcased during the 40-minute-long presentation.
“For the formal office setting, the rule of thumb is to stick to conservative and basic colors such as black, navy blue and charcoal,” said Gamez. “For casual settings such as office parties, burgundy seems to be a popular color for female fashions.”
