A significant milestone in the construction of Laredo Community College
South occurred on Thursday, December 4, when workers uncrated a solid bronze
bell weighing 1,873 pounds and installed it in the new 69 ft. campus bell tower
located between the William N. “Billy” Hall Student Center and the Judith
Zaffirini Library.
LCC’s second campus is still under construction and is scheduled to open its doors to students in the spring of 2004. It will begin workforce training and community education courses in March 2004 and will offer a full course schedule to college credit students in the fall of 2004.
