Anyone who has begun taking the high school equivalency exam in Spanish must successfully complete the series of five General Education Development (GED) tests on or before December 31, 2003. Missing the deadline will void all previous Spanish General Education Development (GED) test scores and will require examinees to take the new version of the five tests beginning in January 2004.
Laredo Community College's last Spanish GED test date this year will be on Thursday, December 11. The deadline to register is Friday, December 5.
The GED exam is offered in Spanish and English through the LCC Assessment Center. The examinations consist of five subtests- Writing (expresión escrita), Social Studies (estudios sociales), Science (ciencias), Reading (literatura), and Mathematics (matemáticas).
To register you must have a valid government issued photo ID. For complete registration and testing information contact the GED Testing Center at LCC by calling 721-5418. Office hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
