LCC cadets offer aid for Katrina victims

The spirit of giving for the benefit of Hurricane Katrina victims continues to grow at Laredo Community College main and south campuses. The LCC Regional Police Academy Class B-05 has donated $200 to the Katrina Relief Fund. This kind act is the latest effort at the two-campus district after last week’s launch of an LCC employee-led collection drive to raise funds for the American Red Cross and a Louisiana community college. From left, Police Academy Director Ray Garner and cadets Adam Link (class vice-president), Thelma Hernandez (secretary/treasurer) and Jesus Jimenez (president) present the donation to LCC South Provost Francisco Martinez Jr. at the Billy Hall Student Center at LCC South.
