Laredo Community College Main and South campuses offer early registration for summer classes through May 18.  Early and self-advised students can register early for Summer Sessions I and II by logging on to the On Line Enrollment system at ole.laredo.edu.  Students also can register by phone for Summer Session I by dialing 721-5100.  For more information, call 721-5109 or 794-4110.

 

Laredo Community College is accepting applications for admission to its Associate Degree Nursing Generic program.  Applications are due May 26 by 5 p.m.  Applications are available at the LCC ADN program, located in Lopez Nursing Building, room 126.  For more information, call 721-5252.

 

Enter a rewarding career in health sciences.  Laredo Community College is accepting applications for admission to the Radiologic Technology program.  The deadline to apply is May 5.  Applications are available in the LCC Allied Health Center, room 109.  For more information, call 721-5261.

 

The Camilo Prada Child Development Center of Laredo Community College is open and has extended its enrollment to serve children between 18 months and 4 years of age.  The Prada Center is located at LCC South, 5500 South Zapata Highway.  For tuition and fees information or to enroll your child, call 794-4561.

 

The Laredo Community College Upward Bound program is accepting applications from 8th, 9th and 10th grade students from area schools to join the college prep program.  To qualify, students must be the children of parents who do not hold a four-year degree and they must be economically disadvantaged.  Students and their parents are encouraged to submit an application Monday through Thursday, now through May 10, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lerma-Peña Learning Center, room 120.  Call 721-5238.

 

The Little Palomino Head Start, located on the Laredo Community College Main campus and managed by the Webb County Head Start program, is conducting fall enrollment for 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children.  The center is open to the public, but priority is given to LCC students and employees.  For more information, call 722-9858 or 795-1515.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 4, 2005

The Medical Assisting Club at Laredo Community College invites students and community to support the American Diabetes Association.  Laredoan Martha Hernandez will accept donations to raise the most money for the Kiss A Pig Campaign, which benefits the American Diabetes Association Laredo Council.  Drop off your donation anytime from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Kazen College Center on the LCC Main campus.  For more information, call 721-5261.

Laredo Community College hosts a scholarship fund-raiser recital featuring guest performing ensemble Vols String Quartet at 7:30 p.m. in the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center theater.  Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
