Kids ages 3-5 experience a fun and exciting summer camp at the Camilo Prada Child Development Center at Laredo Community College South, 5500 South Zapata Highway. Now through June 24, campers meet at the college campus Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. For more information, call 794-4561.
The only way is up for high school students attending Project Step Up at Laredo Community College. The free summer college prep and career training program is open to high school students. The eight-week program is from June 13-Aug. 4 on the LCC Main and South campuses. Space is still available to join this state-funded program, which offers an $800 stipend to the participants. The next session of summer camp at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center is launched at Laredo Community College main campus for ages 9-11. Camp is Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Additional camps for a variety of age groups are available. For more information, call 764-5701.
