MONDAY, AUGUST 15, 2005

The Laredo Community College Main and South campuses will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. so that college employees may attend the fall 2005 convocation at the main campus.  Faculty and staff get re-energized for another exciting year at the “College of Champions” at this year’s in-service, dubbed a “Hawaiian Con-Vacation.”  General presentations are from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Martinez Fine Arts Center theater.  Additional meeting and training occur throughout the day in various campus facilities.  LCC employees get to enjoy good food at a Hawaiian luau at 6 p.m. in front of the Kazen College Center.  For more details, call 721-5140.

 

Just say OLÉ!  Laredo Community College Main and South campuses offer registration for the fall 2005 semester.  Early and self-advised students may register now through Aug. 17 with the On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) system at http://ole.laredo.edu or by phone at 721-5100.  For more information, call 721-5109 or 794-4110 (LCC South).

 

Make history in a rewarding nursing or allied health career.  Laredo Community College is accepting applications for fall 2005 admission to the programs of Emergency Medical Services, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Office Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant and Phlebotomy.  Applications are available in the LCC Allied Health Center, room 109.  For more information, call 721-5261.  New students also are sought for the Nursing Assistant program.  Applications are available in the Lopez Nursing Building, room 104.  For more information, call 721-5255. 

 

The Camilo Prada Child Development Center of Laredo Community College is open and has extended its enrollment to serve children between 18 months and 5 years of age.  The Prada Center is located at LCC South, 5500 South Zapata Highway.  For tuition and fees information or to enroll your child, call 794-4561.

 

The Little Palomino Head Start, located on the Laredo Community College Main campus and managed by the Webb County Head Start program, is conducting fall enrollment for 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children.  The center is open to the public, but priority is given to LCC students and employees.  For more information, call 722-9858 or 795-1515.

 

TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2005

No more standing in long lines…just say OLÉ!  Laredo Community College Main and South campuses offer regular advising and registration for the fall 2005 semester from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Students who register for classes today must pay their tuition and fees by 6 p.m.  Payment also is due for students who registered between Aug. 11 and 16. Register conveniently with the On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) system at http://ole.laredo.edu or by phone at 721-5100.  For more information, call 721-5109 or 794-4110 (LCC South).
