Instructors Promoting Academic Student Success, or IPASS, is launched at the learning centers of the LCC main and south campuses. A yard sale benefiting victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita will be held at Laredo Community College from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the main campus grounds. Clothing, household items, toys and much more will be sold to raise funds for persons affected by the storm.
Goodwill for the benefit of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita victims continues at Laredo Community College with a Spike Katrina/Serve the Victims Celebrity Volleyball Benefit at 1:30 p.m. in the Maravillo Gymnasium. Volunteer to play alongside the LCC women’s volleyball team; the donation is $100. Or show your support by attending the game; admission is $1, donation of school supplies or children’s books for children displaced by the hurricane.
