LCC offers advantages to living on campus

Students who plan to attend Laredo Community College this fall have a unique opportunity to reside at a prestigious address- West End Washington Street.

Prospective campus housing residents are encouraged to make their reservation quickly as space begins to fill at the Sue Killam Dormitories, located on the north side of the main campus.

The LCC Dormitory is a complex of six buildings, offering 60 double occupancy suites.  Each suite is separated by a common area, which provides residents with a dorm room with privacy and security.

Each unit is fully furnished, is equipped with air conditioning/heating, and is cable and telephone ready.  LCC dorm residents also have access to many other amenities.

“Living on the Laredo Community College campus has its advantages because residents live within a stone’s throw of their classroom, tennis courts, swimming pool, library, the internet Corral, cafeteria, the learning center, a baseball park and much more,” campus housing manager Suzanne Ramirez said.

“The tree-lined streets and the historic Fort McIntosh environment make LCC dorm life a unique opportunity for students who desire to, or who need to live away from home while pursuing a college education,” added Ramirez.  “Living on campus is very conducive to a student’s learning experience at LCC.”

Additionally, campus living is affordable, noted Ramirez, who noted that a semester lease is $1,100.

For more information, visit the Campus Housing Office, located at P-41, on the north side of the LCC campus, email housing@laredo.edu  or call 721-5454.
