Message system on tap during LCC registration

Phone calls to student support areas at Laredo Community College Main and South campuses will be routed to a message system as thousands of students register for fall semester classes on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The message system will offer information on registration dates and times, as well as the college’s web site for more information.  Students can log on to ole.laredo.edu to check their financial aid status, to check course availability, to register online and for other information.

Students who require immediate assistance are asked to visit either campus rather than calling if they need help in registering for the fall term.

Fall registration will be in the department offices that correspond to a student’s major between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Students without a declared major can report to the Kazen College Center to meet with a counselor for advising.

Students majoring in child development, early childhood education, protective services, computer electronics, automotive technology, auto body repair and diesel mechanics will need to register at the south campus. Advising for general education courses, under the Arts and Sciences Division, also is available at LCC South.

Classes must be paid on the day of registration or will automatically be dropped by the following day. Payments will be taken at the Bursar’s Office, the Kazen College Center (checks and financial aid only) or online (credit card payments).
