Laredo Community College students who make the effort to create the ideal class schedule should not let it slip away from their grasp.
Students who want to keep their classes should note the important tuition payment deadlines for the fall 2005 semester.
The first approaching tuition payment deadline is Wednesday, Aug 10 for students who registered for fall classes between July 11 and Aug. 10. Payment of tuition and fees is due before 5 p.m. Students can pay their classes online with a major credit card, or by cash or check at the LCC Bursar’s Office at the LCC Main or South campuses.
“Classes are filling up at a fast pace as Laredo Community College continues to register students for the new term,” Felix Gamez, director of admissions and records, said. “It’s important that payment of tuition and fees is received by the due date; otherwise, students will lose their space in class and need to register again.”
The next due date to note is Tuesday, Aug. 16, which applies to students who register between Aug. 11 and 16. Payment is due by 6 p.m.
Thereafter, LCC offers its regular advising and registration period on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Students who register for classes on this day must pay their tuition and fees by 6 p.m.
Late registration is on August 22 and 23. Students must pay their registration by 7 p.m. at the end of each late registration day or their registration will be cancelled. Students who are only making changes to their class schedules are exempt.
LCC students continue securing their pick of classes from work, the comforts of home and just about anywhere else with an Internet-ready computer, thanks to the college’s On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) system at http://ole.laredo.edu. Students also may register at LCC Main or South campuses in designated computer labs or by phone at 721-5100.
Students needing financial aid for the fall term should submit the necessary paperwork by Aug. 10 as well.
Classes for the new term begin on Monday, Aug. 22 and continue through Dec. 2.
