‘New Generations’ study water at LCC
The need to preserve and protect the quality of the Rio Grande is discussed by Tom Miller, director of the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center at Laredo Community College, during a New Generations conference sponsored by the Laredo Under Seven Flags Rotary Club Friday. Seniors from area high schools were invited by the rotary club to attend the morning-long water symposium hosted at LCC in the de la Garza Building. Activities also included a tour of the college’s LBVE Science Center and a luncheon.
