What happens when you take an inspirational message and mix it in with a bit of humor?
You get happy: Efrain “Happy” Guerrero that is, an international award-winning entertainer and motivational speaker who will share a special message with Laredo Community College students and community on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

by the LCC Student Activities Office, Happy will offer his presentation,
Attaining Your Goals with the Power of Self-Discipline, at 10 a.m. in the Billy
Hall Student Center at LCC South and again at 12:30 p.m. in the Kazen College
Center at the main campus.
Admission to both presentations is free and open to students and the community.
“When it came to selecting public speakers to address the student body, the Laredo Community College Student Advisory Board searched for speakers who go beyond the standard behind-the-podium presentations,” Student Activities Director Priscilla Medina said. “That’s why the student advisory board chose Happy. He has a talent for connecting with his audience, especially students, and adding some humor to deliver a dynamic and memorable presentation.”
Based in Corpus Christi, Guerrero has served as motivational speaker and consultant since 1987.
After talking with students, parents and educators, Guerrero developed several topics for his presentations, which he feels are vital if society is to have an organized and successful future.
“I think of these topics as tools for a successful future. I use humor and common sense in my presentation to make the sessions interesting and to motivate the participants,” Guerrero said.
In his upcoming presentation at the LCC campuses, Guerrero will focus on seven key principles students need to achieve self-discipline for brighter futures.
Medina said that Guerrero will return to LCC on Nov. 14 and 15 to offer another presentation.
