Working together for a better environment

A commitment to improving the environment was highlighted during a special ceremony to plant 10 Treaty Oak trees on the Laredo Community College Main campus on Wednesday.  The Trees for Texas campaign was led by H-E-B in celebration of its centennial anniversary and included a $500 gift to LCC.  From left, Robert Palomin, regional director of operations for H-E-B, presents a check to LCC President Dr. Ramon Dovalina.  The young trees are descendants from the historic Treaty Oak in Austin, one of the most important trees in Texas history.
