LCC offers advantages to living on campus

The Laredo Community College main campus offers students a unique opportunity to reside at a prestigious address- West End Washington Street.  Space is still available for students to live on campus this spring at the Sue Killam Dormitories by calling 721-5454.

The LCC Dormitory consists of a complex of six buildings, which offer 60 double occupancy units (suites).  A common area separates each unit—or dorm room—and provides individual residents with privacy and security.

Each unit is fully furnished, is equipped with air conditioning/heating, and is cable and telephone ready.  LCC dorm residents also have access to many other amenities.

“Living on the Laredo Community College campus has its advantages because residents live within a stone’s throw of their classroom, tennis courts, swimming pool, library, the internet Corral, cafeteria, the learning center, a baseball park and much more,” said Campus Housing Manager Suzanne Ramirez.

“The tree-lined streets and the historic Fort McIntosh environment make LCC dorm life a unique opportunity for students who desire to, or who need to live away from home while pursuing a college education,” added Ramirez.  “Living on campus is very conducive to a student’s learning experience at LCC.”

Additionally, campus living is convenient and affordable, noted Ramirez.

A semester lease is $1,100 and a summer session lease is $370.

“The spring term has begun, but students are still welcomed to make their residency at the LCC Main campus,” said Ramirez.

For more information, visit the Campus Housing Office, located at P-41, on the north side of the LCC campus, or email housing@laredo.edu.
