LCC, ALFA promote workforce development
From left, Lazaro Serna Garza is congratulated by Carlos Alvarez, president of the Asociación de Agentes Aduanales de Nuevo Laredo, during the presentation of certificates to the first group of forwarding employees to complete specialized continuing education training under a special alliance led by Laredo Community College and the Association of Laredo Forwarding Agents, Inc. The participating employees completed three months of specialized training focusing on the improvement of their English-speaking skills and other skills related to the industry. Garza was among the group recognized for completing a class on the transportation of hazardous materials. The recognition and awards ceremony was held on Tuesday at the De la Garza Building on the LCC campus.
