Zapata banker-rancher is honored by LCC
Zapata banker-rancher Renato Ramirez was named the recipient of the 2005 Meritorious Service Award, presented by Laredo Community College during Commencement ceremonies on May 14 in the Maravillo Gymnasium. The LCC award is presented annually during graduation to single out an individual or group who has supported the advancement of the LCC two-campus district and higher education in South Texas. Ramirez has provided valuable support to the college district as philanthropist and volunteer as a founding member of the LCC Education Foundation Board of Directors.
