LCC hosts National Library Week ceremony
The Yeary Library of Laredo Community College promoted literacy and lauded student and staff achievement during a ceremony to commemorate National Library Week, April 18-24. The library donated $100 to the Literacy Volunteers of Laredo, which was presented by Catalog/Interlibrary Loan Librarian Bob Larremore to LVL representatives Catalina Reyna (right) and Melly Jimenez. The gift to LVL was raised by library staff through a special fund-raising activity. Awards also were presented to recognize the library's Work-Study of the Year, Abigail Almaguer, and the Employee of the Year, Elaine Byrne.
