Laredo Community College reminds students completing their spring semester and registering for the upcoming summer sessions to use LCC’s online information services, which provide unofficial transcripts, schedules, and financial aid status reports.
“More and more of our students are using online services to register and obtain information on their course status, and we embrace this trend in an effort to save cost and reduce our consumption of paper,” said Dr. Juan L. Maldonado, vice president for instruction and student development.
“LCC’s enrollment has increased tremendously; we issue grades to more than 9,000 students each semester,” he said.
Student grades are available through the LCC Website, www.laredo.edu which has a link to the student online service site, OLÉ, at http://ole.laredo.edu.
Colleges and universities throughout the country are eliminating the cost of postage and printing supplies, and reducing their negative impact on the environment, by making course grades and other student information available only through electronic forms of communication. LCC joined the paperless trend last summer.
For those students who do not have access to a computer at home, LCC maintains open computer labs on both campuses, and has computer access available in its Main campus Yeary Library and LCC South’s Zaffirini Library.
