Laredo Community College students can take a break from their studies and the sweltering heat at the college’s swimming pool, which opens for the approaching summer season today (April 30).
The junior olympic-sized pool is located on the north side of the LCC main campus at the Sports and Recreation Center, which also features tennis courts and baseball/softball fields. The facility is open to students, faculty and staff who have a valid LCC ID card.
“LCC offers some cool privileges to those who study this summer on campus. The college’s swimming pool is an ideal spot for students to relax and cool off after spending your day in the classroom,” Troy Van Brunt, athletic director, explained.
The pool will be open Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on weekends from 3 to 7:30 p.m.
A valid LCC ID card must be presented. Up to two guests are allowed per college student/employee.
