Coach Jaime Donjuan has good reason to smile about his Palomino tennis program at Laredo Community College. The men’s doubles of Henry Estrella and Daniel Pazos are the first in the history of the LCC tennis program to win a title at the National Small College Championships. The Palomino duo defeated Meridian Community College and Venture College by identical scores of 6-2, 6-1 before reaching the finals and defeating Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 6-2, 7-6. The tournament was held at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla. Oct. 13-16. The event was presented by the United States Tennis Association and administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
