Giving thanks with an international flair
Some students at Laredo Community College celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday with an international flair. Hon Yip Cheung (Edmund) recites in Chinese the meaning of the Chinese Harvest Festival, or Moon Festival, during a traditional Thanksgiving dinner hosted for international students who reside on campus. The guests of honor represented 12 countries around the world, including South Korea, Italy, France, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, China, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Spain. The event was hosted by LCC Campus Housing and Student Activities.
