Traditions flourish at LCC
Jesse James, a member of the Mariachi Palomino of Laredo Community College, showcases his impressive talents on the accordion Wednesday at the Kazen College Center. The mariachi ensemble was featured in concert as part of the celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month at LCC. Other music and dance acts participated, and student clubs sold an array of traditional sweet treats. An exhibition of poster boards focusing on Hispanic leaders and customs created by students also were on display. A similar celebration was hosted at LCC South on Tuesday.
