LCC Calendar for April 17-23, 2006

 

MONDAY, APRIL 17, 2006

Classes are suspended and campus offices closed at both Laredo Community College main and south campuses.  But, students still can register for summer classes online with the On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) system at http://ole.laredo.edu.  Students who have taken advantage of early advising or who are eligible to self advise for classes can register today from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.  The college campuses reopen Tuesday, April 18.

 

TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2006

Explore your future.  Attend the annual Laredo Community College Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kazen College Center.  Employers from an array of businesses and institutions will be present to help students and the public find the link between a college degree and a rewarding career.  Admission is free of charge.  For more information, call 721-5461.

Elvis is in the building.  Students from the United Independent School District are treated to a free concert presented by the Laredo Community College Show Band with special guest Oscar Lopez and his striking impersonation of the King of Rock and Roll.  The concert starts at 10 a.m. in the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center theater.  A concert for the community is set for Friday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m.  For more information, call 721-5330.

Join the fight against birth defects.  Join the community for the annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica at the Laredo Community College main campus.  Registration is at 8 a.m. on the center courtyard in front of the Kazen College Center.  Everyone is invited to the walk.  For more information, call 721-5189.
