Aficionados of guitar music are in for a special treat with the presentation of a Guitar Extravaganza concert at Laredo Community College Wednesday, April 26.
The concert will feature the guitar ensembles from the Vidal M. Treviño Magnet School and LCC.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center theater. Admission is free and open to the public.
The LCC Guitar Ensemble is directed by Dr. Gregory Cain Budds, while the VMT group is under the direction of Ricardo Cortez.
“Laredo Community College is pleased to collaborate with the Vidal M. Treviño Magnet School to provide a quality evening of entertainment for the community to enjoy,” Budds said.
The program will include Michael Praetorius’ “Ballet du Roy,” “Ballet (My Bonnie Lass…)” by Morley, as well as works from Mozart, Villa-Lobos, Tarrega, Bach and Vivaldi, among others.
