
Avid golfers have an opportunity to win exciting prizes and support the Laredo Community College Palomino baseball program by participating in a golf tournament on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Registration for the four-man scramble golf tournament is now under way; golfers may call the LCC Athletic Department at 721-5326 to sign up for the tournament. The registration form also may be downloaded and printed from the Palomino athletics website at www.laredo.edu/athletics.
LCC head baseball coach Chase Tidwell said that the golf tournament will benefit the college’s baseball program.
“If you like to golf, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the sport and help out the Palomino baseball program,” Tidwell said.
The tournament is scheduled for Dec. 9 at the Casa Blanca Golf Course. Shot gun tee time is at 8 a.m.
Gift certificates from the Pro Shop—first prize valued at $800 and second prize at $400—will be awarded.
Teams of four may sign up as a Grand Slam Sponsor for $500, which includes meals, T-shirts and 2007 Palomino baseball season passes for each team member.
Individual players also may sign up for $100, which includes a meal, T-shirt and a Palomino baseball season pass.
