A special remembrance on La Frontera
Laredo Community College student Homero Nuñez recites his Spanish poem, El Soldado Bronce (The Bronze Soldier), during an Encore Reception to recognize student writers and artists, whose works appear in the fall 2006 issue of the college’s literary magazine, La Frontera Thursday, Dec. 7 in the Kazen College Center. Nunez’s poem recounts his tour of duty in the armed forces. At front is a colorful illustration of the magazine’s front cover, an oil painting created by student Paola Arcos.
