LCC benefits from Prairie Foundation
Laredo Community College was among several local organizations that benefited from the generosity of the Prairie Foundation. The college received $12,500 from the foundation to provide tuition assistance for the children of disadvantaged LCC student-parents to attend the Camilo Prada Child Development Center at LCC South. The announcement was made during a luncheon at La Posada on Thursday, Dec. 14. Among those present were, from left, Prairie Foundation Director Dr. Charles Hedges, LCC President Dr. Ramon H. Dovalina, Prairie Foundation treasurer Lynda James, Prairie Foundation Grants Committee chair Deborah Williams, LCC Community Relations director Millie Slaughter, Prada Child Development Center director Gloria Castillo and LCC South Provost Francisco Martinez Jr.
