The winter holidays are just around the corner at Laredo Community College.
But time is still available to get advised and enrolled for the Spring 2007 semester.
First-time students and those who have not declared a major can take advantage of Advising for the new term Monday, Dec. 18 through Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Counseling Center at both main and south campuses.
Students who take advantage of advising are automatically eligible to register for the new term via the college’s On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) system at http://ole.laredo.edu.
Advised students and those who are eligible to self advise for classes may register for spring 2007 classes via the OLÉ web system from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The system is accessible seven days a week, even through the college’s holiday break. The class schedule also may be viewed via the OLÉ system.
"Self-advised" students must have earned at least nine college-level semester hours of credit, have met college level readiness, have declared a major with the Admissions/Registration Office and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
Students who register between now and Tuesday, Jan. 9 have until Jan. 9 to pay their tuition and fees.
Payment is due in person at the LCC Bursar's Office by 7 p.m. or online via the OLÉ web system by 11 p.m. Those who do not pay their tuition and fees by the deadline will be dropped from the class rolls.
LCC is closed from Thursday, Dec. 21 through Sunday, Jan. 7. College employees return to work on Monday, Jan. 8 to attend an all-day in-service.
