
Area golfers have an opportunity to vie for an array of exciting prizes—from a new car to $1 million—for the benefit of the Laredo Community College Athletic program during the annual LCC Palomino Golf Tournament Monday, Feb. 20.
The golf tournament will be held at the Laredo Country Club; shot gun tee time is at 12:30 p.m.
Among
the Hole-in-One prizes is a 40-year annuity valued at $1 million, courtesy of
the Allstate Insurance Marcus Moreno Insurance Agency.
Other grand hole-in-one prizes include a new car from Powell Watson and Sames Ford and a motorcycle from Harley Davidson of Laredo.
Paul Young Chevrolet will sponsor its “Four for Texas” closest-to-the-win contest. The player that is closest to Hole #5 Par 3 in each flight is eligible to win roundtrip airfare, anywhere American Airlines flies in the Continental USA or Canada; a Super Sports Fan Package, entitling the winner to “bench coach” a Laredo Bucks or Laredo Lobos game, LCC tennis match plus lesson with coach Jaime Donjuan, two tickets to regular season San Antonio Spurs game and more; Around the World One Bite at a Time, dinner for two at three different restaurants featuring different types of food, including Mexican (Coyote Creek), American (Applebee’s) and Italian (Johnny Carino’s); and Laredo Live at the LEC, two tickets to any event of the winner’s choice at the Laredo Entertainment Center through 2006.
“Friends and fans of the Palominos are invited to test their skills for a chance to win hole-in-one and ‘Four for Texas’ prizes and a variety of other prizes, including color television sets, stereos, gift certificates and much more,” LCC Athletic Director Troy Van Brunt said.
Sponsorship levels range from $1,000 for two golfers to $5,000 for 12 golfers.
The sponsorship packages include meals, goody bags, name recognition at hole and much more, depending on the sponsorship level.
