Students have an innovative way to express their artistic side without having to use paints, charcoals or canvasses at Laredo Community College.
This spring, the LCC Art Department goes high tech with the courses, Digital Art I (ARTS 2348) and Digital Art II (ARTS 2349).
Both classes will be taught by art instructor Mark Johnson, beginning Jan. 16, Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the main campus.
The art studio course will have students in a computer lab exploring the potential uses of computer hardware and software programs to create visual art.
Students will learn to create art by utilizing the Adobe Photoshop program, a professional desktop digital imaging software program with uniquely creative tools.
Students in the ARTS 2349 course will continue to enhance their skills with emphasis on personal expression.
For more information about the art courses, call 721-5224.
