A reason to be “Happy”
Tom Miller, director of the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center, and “Happy,” the javalina, had plenty reason to be happy Tuesday after Congressman Henry Cuellar announced the awarding of $150,000 in federal funds to develop a study of the Rio Grande River Basin. The LBVE Science Center at Laredo Community College was the site for the announcement, which attracted leaders from the city of Laredo, the city of Rio Bravo and area environmentalists.
