Parents are invited to sign up their children for the second session of the Camilo Prada Child Development Center Summer Camp, July 10-21.

Gloria Castillo, director of the LCC South child development center, said that campers will participate in an array of activities focusing on literacy, movement, science, math and art.
“Children will participate in activities that enhance their academic learning skills in reading, science and math. Camp also will focus on art to help children develop their creativity and their artistic skills,” Castillo said.
She added, “Movement and physical health awareness will be promoted through dancing, exercise and other creative activities.”
Castillo also noted that summer camp offers children an opportunity to develop their social, emotional and thinking skills.
The camp fee is $100, and it includes breakfast and lunch.
Campers also will receive a gift bag at the end of the camp session.
