Working together for the environment
The Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center at Laredo Community College has a new interactive attraction to showcase to students and visitors thanks to a special partnership led by the Laredo Under Seven Flags Rotary Club, Habitat for Humanity and AmeriCorps. Officials and volunteers from the three organizations were at the LBVESC Tuesday, June 20 to present a touch-table which will enhance the center’s mission to environmental science. The Rotary Club donated the materials for the touch-table, which was built by Habitat and AmeriCorps volunteers.
