A sense-sational experience at LCC
Campers at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center at Laredo Community College were the first to experience the center’s newest attraction—a touch-table donated by the Laredo Under Seven Flags Rotary Club with support from Habitat Humanity and AmeriCorps volunteers Tuesday, June 20. LBVESC director Tom Miller watches as Saul Ortega, Christina Garcia and other campers test their sense of touch. The children placed their hands into a cubbyhole to guess what environmental object was hidden inside each compartment. For information on guided tours, call the LBVESC at 764-5701.
