Spring break may bring classroom activity to a weeklong halt for thousands of students at the main and south campuses of Laredo Community College March 13-17.
But exciting baseball action will continue on the LCC diamond field as the Palominos host two important conference series, beginning this weekend against the San Jacinto College Gators.
Baseball fans are encouraged to show their support for the Palominos during a conference doubleheader Saturday against the Gators at 12 p.m. at Crispin “Doc” Sanchez field on the north side of the main campus.
The final match of the three-game series against San Jacinto will be played on Sunday at 12 p.m.
The Palominos will travel to Kerrville Wednesday, March 15 at 12 p.m. for a non-conference doubleheader against the Schreiner University Mountaineers.
They return home for more weekend conference action against the University of Texas at Brownsville Scorpions.
The Palominos face the Scorpions Saturday, March 18 in a doubleheader, which starts at 12 p.m. at Doc Sanchez Field.
Action continues Sunday, March 19 at 12 p.m.
Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for ages 11-17 and free for ages 10 and under. Admission also is free for those with a valid LCC student or staff ID card.
The main and south campuses resume operations Monday, March 20.
Regular hours of operation for most campus offices are Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
