A special tribute to women is celebrated during International Women’s Day at Laredo Community College. Activities include a poetry reading on women’s achievements and sufferings and a book dedication honoring Sister Rosemary Welsh from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The celebration concludes with a special screening of a film documentary from 3 to 5 p.m. that exposes the injustices happening to women in the border city of
