
A special appearance from Santa Claus and a potpourri of heavenly chamber music are sure to get everyone into the festive holiday spirit at Laredo Community College.
The LCC Performing Arts Department is hosting two special holiday music concerts, which are free and open to the community.
CHAMBER MUSIC
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, enjoy a special Holiday Chamber Music Student Concert featuring students from LCC and the Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts.
The chamber music concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center theater.
The program will include the performance of popular holiday tunes, including Ave Maria, The Little Drummer Boy, O’ Christmas Tree, O’ Little Town of Bethlehem/It came Upon a Midnight Clear.
CHRISTMAS SERENADE
The Yuletide cheer continues on Wednesday, Dec. 6, when the LCC Show Band offers a Christmas Serenade and Holiday Jazz Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Martinez Fine Arts Center theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Bring the entire family to this concert, which will feature guest appearances by Santa, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.
The LCC Show Band is under the direction of LCC music instructor Jose D. Compean. Laredo native A.B. Barrera will be the concert emcee.
