Stars are born at LCC
Two of Laredo Community College’s newest “stars,” from left, Miroslava Linares and Verenice Vaquera, are photographed by Jeff Patterson of the national campus entertainment agency Coyote on Campus for Hollywood Photo Clappers on Tuesday, Aug. 29 in the Kazen College Center. After the photo session, a digital picture of the LCC students was passed through a computer program where an image of the famous landmark with the Hollywood sign was superimposed behind the students. The picture was then placed in a frame in the shape of a Hollywood clapperboard. Sponsored by LCC Student Activities Office, the event was held to welcome back students to LCC, where everyone can be a star at the “College of Champions.” A similar event was held at LCC South.
