The Laredo Community College Drama program will present a live theater production of the “Boys Next Door,” beginning tonight (December 3) at 8 p.m. at the Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center at the main campus on West End Washington Street.
Additional performances will be offered on Saturday, December 4, at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, December 5, at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
The live drama is the story of an overworked social worker and his four mentally challenged charges, said LCC Drama Instructor and the show’s director Floyd Reed.
“(The social worker) is rapidly becoming burned out, and has to make a decision about his future, and how that will impact the men he cares for,” explained Reed.
The cast includes Johnny Hernandez, Raul Casso, Juan Perez, Joey Solis, Jaime Maldonado, Nancy Reyes, Erika Santana, Anissa Zimmerman, Mario Valdez, Manuel Lopez, Danny Rodriguez, Carla Sanchez, and Danny Ramos.
