LCC receives donation from local businessman
Physical education at Laredo Community College has received a major boost from Librado Piņa, Jr., who recently donated 15 Reebok spinning cycles for the benefit of kinesiology students at LCC South. Each cycle is valued at $350 for a donation worth a total of $5,250. Piņa (fifth from left) is flanked by LCC students and administrators, including from left, Dean of LCC South Francisco Martinez, Jr., Kinesiology Department Chair Dr. Sara Carrasco, LCC President Dr. Ramon H. Dovalina, Dean of Arts and Sciences Dr. Nora Garza and Kinesiology Instructors Randy Gonzalez and Linda Villarreal. A variety of fitness and kinesiology courses are offered at the main and south campuses. Spring registration is January 11 to 13 at the LCC Maravillo Gymnasium. For more information, call 721-5858.
