LCC offers advisement for early fall registration
Laredo Community College and Laredo Community College South will offer an opportunity in the next two weeks for students to meet with faculty advisors and counselors to get a smart and informed head start on their college careers.
Students planning to continue their studies at LCC this fall can take advantage of early registration once they have been advised. Early advisement begins July 19 and 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. in the instructional department offices at the LCC main campus near downtown, or at the Billy Hall Student Center at LCC South.
Advisement continues to include new students on July 21 and 22, and is open to all students July 26 through 28. If a student does not know where to obtain early advisement, they can call 721-5109.
An advantage to early advisement is the ability to register early through August 9 via the college’s On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) system on the World Wide Web (http://ole.laredo.edu) and by phone at 721-5100. OLÉ is accessible from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Early registration is also open to students who meet the criteria for self advisement. All students who have earned at least nine college level hours, have declared their academic major, and have satisfied the new Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements are considered “self advised” and can register by web or phone using the OLÉ system.
LCC has launched its registration activities for the new term, featuring a class schedule that offers more courses, thanks to the opening of the new LCC South campus, located at 5500 South Zapata Highway.
Students who register early for fall classes must pay tuition and fees by August 18 before 5 p.m. at the LCC Bursar’s Office, located in University Hall, room 121.
The Fall 2004 semester begins on August 30, and continues through December 10.
The LCC Fall 2004 Class Schedule is available online at www.laredo.edu and at the Admissions/Registration Office, located in University Hall, room 125, on the LCC campus, and the Billy Hall Student Center, room A113, at LCC South. Office hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
