LCC Calendar for June 14-19, 2004

 

MONDAY, JUNE 14, 2004

The Laredo Community College Palomino baseball program sponsors a summer camp for area youth between the ages of 7 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon through June 17.  The camp fee is $75.  Head Coach Chase Tidwell is the camp director.  For more information, call 206-9168.

 

 

Laredo Community College will host a welcoming ceremony for new members of the prestigious Honors Program at 7 p.m. in the de la Garza Building, room 101.  Parents and friends of the honorees are invited to attend.  For more information, call 764-5956.

 

Early registration is available for Summer Session II at Laredo Community College through the On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) Web system at ole.laredo.edu, and the OLÉ Phone system at 721-5100.  Early and self advised students may register now through June 17 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.  For more information, call 721-5109.

 

New students at Laredo Community College can get connected to campus life with the College Connection.  First-time or first semester college students are invited to participate in this free and exciting student orientation program.  An afternoon session will be held at LCC South on July 8.  Morning and afternoon sessions will be held at the LCC main campus on July 13.  To reserve your place, call 721-5135.

 

A variety of athletic camps and an environmental science camp are available to local school children this summer at Laredo Community College.  For information about the Environmental Science Camp, call 764-5701.  For information about recreational activities, call 721-5326.

Laredo Community College South will serve as a host site for breakfast meeting of the Laredo Manufacturers Association, which begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Billy Hall Student Center, 5500 South Zapata Highway.  Presenters will include Dr. Ramon H. Dovalina, who will speak about the two-campus district and Laredo Educational Foundation Board President Ed Sherwood, who will talk about the foundation and its initiatives.
