Parents of 2-, 3- and 4-year-old children will have an opportunity to preview the new Camilo Prada Child Development Center, located at Laredo Community College South, during a week-long Open House, beginning Monday, September 27.
Prada Child Development Center teachers and staff will be available to provide tours to interested persons September 27 through 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The new Center is located at LCC South, 5500 South Zapata Highway.
“The LCC Prada Child Development Center is open to provide quality care for children from Laredo and surrounding communities. Our goals are to maintain a low child-staff ratio and offer a comprehensive curriculum and assessment,” said LCC Child Development Department Chair Gloria Juarez. “Parents are invited to meet the caring instructional staff and preview the state-of-the-art facilities.” The Center is comprised of qualified and certified teachers, teacher assistants, a registered nurse and a permanent cook.
She noted that parents who receive assistance from Child Care Management Services may request their child be transferred to the Prada Child Development Center.
