
Help is available for Laredo Community College students in need of childcare services.
The LCC campus at West End Washington Street is home to the Little Palomino Head Start, which is managed and operated by the Webb County Head Start program. Fall enrollment is underway for 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children.
The program is free to eligible recipients. Head start officials say that priority is given to the children of LCC students, faculty and staff, however, the public is encouraged to apply. For more information, call 722-9858 or 795-1515.
LCC continues to enroll children—ages 2, 3 and 4—for the new Camilo Prada Child Development Center which opens this fall at LCC South.
Vacancies are on a first-come, first-served basis for the children of LCC students and college employees. The Center at LCC’s second campus will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Monthly tuition is $395 and enrollment fees will be $75. Supply fees for class materials are $100. The Center will provide year-round services. A commitment of 10 to 12 months will be required.
