Elks support LCC students
The Laredo Elks Lodge No. 2806 has donated 200 opportunities for Laredo Community College students to enhance their education. Officials of the Laredo Elks Lodge contributed 200 tickets to the organization’s first annual fundraiser to be held September 17. Each ticket is valued at $100 and could yield a prize of $250 or more to lucky winners. Receiving the tickets was LCC President Ramon H. Dovalina, left, and George L. Garcia, LCC Financial Aid Director, far right. Presenting the tickets were Calixto Sandoval, Jr., the Exalted Ruler of the local Elks Lodge; and Candelario Rodriguez. Tickets for the fundraiser are still available by calling 724-2313.
